India vs Australia 4th Test: Pujara, Agarwal take India to 303/4 on Day 1 in Sydney

12:30 pm: India 303/4 at stumps on Day 1 courtseys Pujara 130*, Vihari 39* , Agarwal 77, Hazelwood 2/51. The day belonged to the Visitors, led by centurion Cheteshwar Pujara who scored a wonderful knock of 130* 3rd of the Series and another great knock by Mayank Agarwal after Indian Skipper won the toss and opted to bat.

12:15 pm: Hanuma Vihari (32* off 41 balls) looks at home batting in the middle order at No.6, in fact, he looks in control as India roares with a 292/4 in 86 overs.

12 noon: The day drifts into extra time with still seven overs left to complete 90 overs in the day. India 280/4.

11:45 pm: 80 overs bowled 10 remaining,and the lights are on the SCG. India 266/4 (Pujara 118*, Vihari 14*). Australia takes the new ball.

11:26 am: Century for Pujara, Cheteshwar Pujara completes the 18th Century of his career and 3rd of the Series in just 199 balls. India at 239/4 in 73 overs.

11:13 am: OUT! Stark ejects Rahane(18) with a sharp bouncer. India 228/4 in 70.2 overs.

10:40 am: The 200 comes up for India! Pujara(82*) approaching his hundred and Rahane (12*) hoping to get some good runs. 

10:06 am: OUT! Hazelwood strikes again. Indian skipper goes for 23 out caught by wicketkeeper Captain Tim Paine. India 180/3 in 52.5 overs.

9:40 am: TEA! India 177/2 in 52 overs. Agarwal remains the top-scorer with a magnifcent 77 and was the only wicket that fell in this season. Pujara on 61 and Kohli on 23. Season dominated by India, scoring 108/1 in 28 overs.

9:36 am: Leggie into the attack,bowls an short-pitched delivery Pujara hits it for a 4 thus completing his 21st Test Half-Century.And it is followed by 2 more boundries taking him to 61*. India 173/2 in 51 overs.

9 am: Its another period of consolidation after the loss of Agarwal(77).India 139/2 in 41 overs.

8:28 am : Lyon has teh last laugh! Agarwal(77) caught at the long-on by Starc as he goes for the third six off the off-spinner. India 126/2.

8:27 am: Six! the second off the off-spinner Lyon. Agarwal shows his aggresive side.

8:14 am: The 100 comes up for India as Agarwal(60*) hits the seventh boundary. Pujara on 25* India 101/1 in 30.1 overs.

8:09 am: Half-Century for agarwal, in consecutive tests. India 92/1.

7:05 am: Lunch! Agarwal(42*) and Pujara(16*) have taken India to 69/1 in 24 overs after Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat.

6:41 am: The 50-runs stand between Pujara(13*) and Agarwal(37*) as India moves to 61/1 in 19 overs.

6:14 am: The 50 comes up for India! The nasty bouncer by Starc hits Agarwal's glove and then the helmet before rushing through the gap in the slips to the boundary. India 51/1 in 14 overs.

5:32 am: The first Change in the Bowling attack, as the hero of the last match, Pat Cummins starts hi spell. India 22/1 in 6 overs.

5:08 am: First Blow! Josh Hazelwood strikes as KL Rahul(9) gives an edge to Marsh at the  Slips. India 11/1 in 1.3 overs.

5 am: The Indian opening pair of Kl Rahul and Mayank Agarwal takes the strike as Mitchell Stark rallies for the first over under the overcast skies of SCG.

4:53 am: The Teams line up for teh National Anthems.

BCCI announces the Indian team for the fourth and final test match, Veteran star misses out due to injury The Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) have announced the 13 man squad for the fourth and final test match against Australia to be played at Sydney starting on Thursday. The 13 man squad has brought forth quite a few surprises with a number of names who were left out of the playing XI for the third test at Melbourne earning back their place in the squad ahead of the test match. FUMING IN: Twitter raging out at in-form star’s exclusion from the Squad for Sydney test BCCI on Wednesday announced the 13 members Indian squad for the fourth and the final test match to be played at the SCG starting from Thursday. The announcement, however, brought forth a number of major surprises. The test series currently stands at 2-1 in favor of the visiting side, who look well set to clinch their first ever bilateral series victory on Australian soil in this ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Ravichandran Ashwin, who was earlier ruled out of a place in the final XI after he failed to clear the fitness test on Wednesday had been retained in the 13 man squad, it looks like as if the Team Management is willing to give him a chance to prove his fitness till the very last.
